Please Donate Your Excess Sick Leave Days Upon Retirement Article 18.12.7 of the AFT contract provides that “Upon retirement, unit members who have accrued in excess of 240 days of sick leave may donate those days over 240 to the sick leave bank”. AFT unit members wishing to contribute excess sick leave accruals to the sick leave bank should complete the first section of the form below and submit the form to the college payroll office. Once completed in the payroll office, the form should be submitted to the Human Resource Director for final review and submission to Coreen Sumple in the System Office. Final Payout from the Retirement Commission
Dear Retirees: The end is finally here, and we have prevailed. Click here to read a letter from the Retirement Commission regarding the treatment of your final payout that you received in 2001. As a result of our efforts, all the money will be calculated in your last year’s earnings, and your monthly check will be adjusted accordingly. You can also expect a retro check with interest at 5%.
